GHOSTBOY & DIABLO #1 SNEAK PREVIEW

The summer is ALWAYS exciting at Class Comics. While we’ve focused on Digital releases and our new line of Easy PDF Comics in the first six months of 2011, we’ve also been hard at work creating new print titles.  Today we’re giving fans a sneak preview of one of our most anticipated books to date.

GHOSTBOY and DIABLO #1 has been in the works for several months now, and it’s nearly complete. Written by Patrick Fillion and illustrated by Jacob Mott, this new mini series finally gives fan favorites Ghostboy and Diablo their long-deserved time in the spotlight.

School Girl is out for REVENGE in Class Comics' up-coming GHOSTBOY and DIABLO #1. Art by Jacob Mott. Story by Patrick Fillion.

The first issue picks up almost immediately after the startling events in BOYTOON ADVENTURES #1 – the shocking developments that stunned and delighted fans across the globe. Yes. Ghostboy and Diablo are now a couple, very much in love, and now the time has come to out their relationship.  But it’s not all roses for our brave boys.  Not only will they face intense personal demons and obstacles, but now a new villain closely related to Ghostboy reveals his intentions.

Diablo falls prey to School Girls' anger in Class Comics' up-coming GHOSTBOY and DIABLO #1. Art by Jacob Mott. Story by Patrick Fillion.

For Peter Goldman AKA Ghostboy, it’s time to come out to his mother Silvia.  Since making his Class Comics debut in 1994, GB has resisted telling his overbearing mother that he’s gay. But now, his new relationship with Diablo motivates him to finally leap out of his closet.  Naturally, his talk with dear ol’ mom doesn’t go quite as planned, and all Hell breaks loose in the most unimaginable way possible.

Diablo’s got a wife and a new baby, but he now knows beyond any doubt that he’s gay.  How is he ever going to deal with this affirmation? How is he supposed to live his life without destroying the hearts of those he loves most in the world?

Expect cool cameos in Class Comics' up-coming GHOSTBOY and DIABLO #1. Art by Jacob Mott. Story by Patrick Fillion.

As if these personal demons weren’t enough, the School Girl pops in for a bout of furious revenge!  She feels that Ghostboy is responsible for the death of her beloved Daddy Longlegs (these events unfold in Rapture #3), and the rubenesque villainess plans to put the hurt on our hero and his devilishly handsome new beau!

Patrick Fillion and Jacob Mott (the creative force behind the hugely successful Naked Justice: Beginnings series), team up again to bring us this fantastic first issue that will leave you stunned!  With an ultra raunchy/romantic flare, Ghostboy and Diablo #1 promises to be intensely hot.  Jacob Mott delivers some of the most incredibly sensual and lusty sex scenes of his career, while Patrick Fillion spins a twisted tale of love, sex and diabolical villainy with two of the Class Comics Universe’s most adored heroes smack-dab in the middle of it all.

Thanks for giving me the opportunity to expose my opinion. I have had the opportunity of been watchings this comics and for me those comics are awesome and show a great amount of talent. The colors the figure, the simmetry, the exact draw of the muscular development of the character are impressive. The comics of Ghostboy vs. Diablo are excellent. Wish to know if you can creat other characters depending of each person, i am sure your audience will appreciate if you can personalize and creat new charaters for comics. My best wishes of success in all your activities, and i wish if i can met Pattrick Fillion and obtain some memorabilia of him and his comic heroes.

    Thanks in advance,

    Rafael Batista Cáceres

I recently retired from a career spanning years of intense research. I found it impossible for me not to study something, so I picked the area of gay super heroes in the comic book industry. Thanks to Class Comics, I’m having more fun than I’ve had in years! (I see a potential problem of ONLY collecting Class Comics and forgetting everything else! Hmm…)
Diablo is a huge favorite of both me and my husband. I can’t wait to see this issue! (For purely research purposes, of course…!)
    Many Thanks!

This looks amazing. I’ve wanted to see some development with Diablo for some time since it always seemed to be heading this way, but his sexual orientation was never made assued given him being married a with a baby. As anyone whos been there, they would tell you what its like trying to live a straight lifestyle but knowing there gay inside, this is some awesome development for him.
Two things though. One, it be intresting to see the whole Jon Daisy thing now Ghostboy appears to be ready to settle down with Diablo, given what a slut he as towards Diablo all this time.
And two, gotta admit, peice of my heart breaks now Ghostboy and Naked Justice are no longer an item. I guess it was heading this way, given how NJ reacted to Ghostboy when he was turned into a woman for a time, thats when they probably fell out. Although I guess I hoped they would get back together and NJ would have become more grounded.
Oh well, Diablo’s awesome though, can’t wait to see his development now he’s out and proud.

    Hey Rob…

WOW! Thanks for this amazing comment! I LOVE what you’ve chosen to study in your retirement! HA! HA! HA! And I’m very pleased you’re having such a great time with it.

It’s also nice to hear from a Diablo fan. I think both you and your husband will be very pleased with Ghostboy and Diablo #1. It really “fleshes” both Diablo and GB out in ways we’ve never seen before… and I for one think that was greatly overdue. And I’m sure you’ll love the gorgeous, super hot art by Jacob Mott too!! :D

Thanks again for the kind words! Have a wonderful day!

    Hello Mike…

AWESOME COMMENT! Thank you so much. I’m really pleased that you like the look of the up-coming series — I’m really quite proud of the work that Jacob Mott and I did on the first book. It’s about time that both Diablo and Ghostboy got a little attention, and I love that for the first time EVER, these two sexy characters get to tell their story in a very fleshed-out manner. Both Diablo and Ghostboy are really gonna have to come to terms with what their being gay means to them and to their families. It’s gonna be a touchy road for them, but I think a pretty important one also.

Jon Dazy ALWAYS seems to pop hi head in and try and torment Diablo! LOL! He’s not in this first book, but you never know when he’ll show up again. I personally think that GB would want to kick his ass for what he did to Diablo.

And as for GB and Naked Justice… it felt kinda strange breaking them up because I liked the idea of them being together… but you know, I really felt that the characters were moving in very separate direction. GB is a no nonsense kinda guy, and his feelings were very hurt when NJ didn’t really stand by him during his whole Ghostboy/Ghostgirl stint. And NJ needs to find his own path, and I sort of feels that ultimately, that NEEDS to be on his own for a while. But I think that Ghostboy and Diablo truly make a wonderful couple. They’re very devoted to one another, and that’s absolutely what GB needed.

Thanks again so much for the wonderful comment. I think you’ll enjoy Ghostboy and Diablo #1 very much! :D

    Hugz + kisses,

    Hello Echo…

Thanks so much for your comment. A lot has happened since the days of Diablo being “strictly straight” and of Ghostboy being with Naked Justice. Ultimately, Diablo’s been questioning his sexuality for a very long time… I think the truth is that he’s just one of these people that falls in love with a person, no matter what the sex. He’s had a long journey to this point, and in Ghostboy and Diablo #1, we’re going to explore what brought him to this point in his life.

As for Ghostboy and Naked Justice, ultimately, NJ didn’t really stand by GB when he went through the whole “body snatching” episode with Daddy Longlegs in the Cube and Rapture series. That created a rift between them, and eventually led to them going their separate ways. NJ has a lot of growing to do, and he’s a character that does that best when he’s on his own… while GB is really a no-nonsense kind of guy. He’s not very patient with what he perceives as people’s “inadequacies”… and he really viewed NJ’s reaction as inadequate. One thing led to another, and then they split…

Anyhow, I hope this helps to clarify the characters’ current situations for you. Thank s again for the comment! :D

    Hugz + kisses,
    Patrick XOXOX
