Julian’s ongoing struggle against himself and his desires translates into daily violence that explodes ever more fiercely in each and every fight, allowing him to go on leading a life that deep down he doesn’t want. Confused by a terrible past, under his outer beauty and his macho ways lies a childhood trauma that shattered his soul.
While this might all sound extremely grim, it’s important to remember that Cantero is a master at telling a compelling, serious story while infusing it with humor. Boxing Julian is a wonderful, challenging read, but it ultimately leaves you breathless. It’s a sexy and exceptionally hot read that is at moments truly shocking, this Graphic novel will leave you breathless.
